⚙️ Connection procedure:
- Black wire (ground) Connect the black wire of the tachometer to a reliable ground , on the engine or battery. A good ground is essential for the proper functioning of the tachometer.
- Red wire (12V power supply) Connect the red wire of the tachometer to a +12V after ignition (switched power supply).
- Blue wire (dial illumination) : Connect the blue wire to the same +12V as the red wire if you want the backlight to remain permanently illuminated. Otherwise, connect it to the lighting circuit (the “light” terminal of the ignition switch).
- Green wire (engine signal) : Connect the green wire to the negative terminal of the ignition coil , to the tachometer wire on the ignition , or to a tachometer adapter depending on the configuration. The negative side of the coil is the one connected to the ignition module (often a blue or pink wire on stock motorcycles). The positive side of the coil receives the +12V from the ignition switch.
